I am currently binge watching my way through Supernatural seasons 9 and 10 for the first time right at the moment. And I just finished watching seasons 1-8 again so that I could remember what was going on for Season 9. So now that I am thoroughly enthralled in the show, and then I discovered that there are books. Last week I found a Chapters 10% off card in my wallet so I bought the first 2 Supernatural novels.

          THIS WEEK’S RANDOM QUESTION:  Name your best-loved character from a fiction book.

You're going to make me choose just one?! Oh that's so hard! I have several favourite fictional characters from books, so I'm going to go with a top 3 list and tell you why they're among my favourites.

1. Lucy Pevensie

It was a tough call between Alice from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland or Lucy from The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. But I chose Lucy because she has been one of my favourites and one of my biggest inspirations since I was a little kid. No matter who challenged her beliefs she held true to them. Lucy was one of the earliest characters to taught me the importance of being true to myself. Her wonder and awe upon her first arrival in Narnia is something that never ceases to make me smile, and her willingness to be the first of her siblings to forgive Edmund even though she was the worst hurt by him has always impressed me.

2. Sirius Black

I have always had a soft spot for Sirius Black since the moment he was introduced. His is the backstory I have always and will always want most. I want to see the happiness in his life, because most of what we got to see in the books we have was his sadness. He wasn't a perfect character, not by any means, he was flawed beyond belief, but out of everyone he loved Harry the most and he was taken from him far too soon. His death was the one that hit me the hardest because it happened at time when I was experiencing the loss of my own father, so Harry losing Sirius made me feel a new sense of kinship with Harry from that moment on.

3. Queen Cimorene

She's the main character in the first three books of the Enchanted Forest Chronicles and she is glorious. In the first book she's a princess whose whole purpose is to be completely opposite to the usual fantasy princess tropes. Cimorene is such a sassy, badass character that there's literally not a thing to dislike about her. She's my favourite character in a cast of fantastic characters.
